1. Who we are
Barki Sofa Hub is a sole trader business. Trading address: Unit 4 Hutton Street, Blackburn, Lancashire, BB1 3BY, United Kingdom. This is our storage and dispatch unit and is not open to visitors — please contact us by WhatsApp, phone or email.
In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Barki Sofa Hub. "You" means the person placing the order. These terms apply to all orders placed with us.
2. How an order is formed
This website does not take orders. It shows what we sell and what it costs. Orders are placed by conversation — over WhatsApp, by phone or by email.
Prices shown on this site are starting prices for the base specification. The price for your sofa depends on the size, fabric and configuration you choose, and we will confirm it before anything is agreed.
A contract between us comes into existence only when we confirm your order back to you, stating the model, fabric, colour, dimensions and final price. Please check that confirmation carefully — it is the specification we will build to.
3. Made to order
Every sofa is manufactured after your order is confirmed, to the specification agreed with you. Because of this, cancellation rights are limited once production begins. This is explained in full on our returns and cancellations page, which forms part of these terms.
Made-to-order goods vary slightly. Dimensions may differ marginally from those quoted, and fabric colour may vary a little from how it appears on a screen or between production batches. Ask us for a sample if exact colour matters to you.
4. Price and payment
The price confirmed to you at the point of order is the price you pay. Delivery to mainland UK addresses is included.
We accept cash on delivery on most orders, a deposit with the balance payable on delivery, and bank transfer. The payment method for your order will be confirmed when you place it. Where a deposit is taken, it is refundable in full if you cancel before production starts.
5. Delivery
Delivery is free to mainland UK addresses and is normally completed within two to three days of order confirmation. Delivery timescales are estimates given in good faith, not guarantees, and we are not liable for delays outside our reasonable control.
You are responsible for telling us before you order about anything that affects access — doorways, stairs, landings, upper floors, parking. If a sofa built to your confirmed specification cannot be delivered into your property because of access you did not tell us about, we cannot treat that as a fault with the goods. Someone aged 18 or over must be present to receive the delivery. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.
6. Your legal rights
We do not offer a separate manufacturer's guarantee or extended warranty on our sofas.
Your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 — that goods are of satisfactory quality, fit for purpose and as described — apply in full and are not affected by these terms. Nothing in this agreement excludes or limits them, and we cannot ask you to waive them. If a sofa is faulty, not as described or not of satisfactory quality, we will repair, replace or refund it and arrange collection at our own cost, as set out on our returns and cancellations page.
7. Care and use
Our sofas are made for normal domestic use. Damage caused by commercial use, by misuse, or by cleaning with products unsuitable for the fabric is not a manufacturing fault and is not our responsibility. We will give you fabric-specific care advice on request.
8. Our liability
We are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking this contract or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss or damage that is not foreseeable, or for business losses.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
9. Personal information
We use your personal information only as set out in our privacy policy.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are the ones published on this page on the day your order was confirmed.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and disputes may be brought in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your own courts.
